ADAM Audio names new head of R&D

WORLD: German monitor specialist ADAM Audio has officially announced Andreas Guhde as its head of research and development, having appointed the former R&D manager to the post on April 1st. The news follows a recent change in ownership for the Berlin-based manufacturer and a subsequent return to full production.

Mr Guhde is described by ADAM Audio as possessing ‘extensive expertise’ and bringing more than 15 years of experience in loudspeaker development and manufacturing to his new role. His career to date has included positions such as technical director at IT Electronic, CEO at Cantare Audio Systems and loudspeaker engineer at Teufel Loudspeakers. Crucially, he is also an ADAM Audio alumni, having previously held the role of R&D manager, during which time he was significantly involved in the development of the acclaimed F-Series. He returns to ADAM Audio after two years.

‘We are extremely pleased to welcome Mr Guhde on board again,’ enthused CEO Sebastian Canzler. ‘We appreciate his exceptional know-how and his long-term experience. We have a lot of work waiting for Mr Guhde, our pipeline of product ideas is plentifully filled. For 2016, we are planning the launch of a whole new range of highly professional monitors for which Mr Guhde is already in charge of development.’
