Alchemedia and Diversified Exhibitions Australia announce partnership

AUSTRALIA: Sydney’s Integrate exhibition is set to undergo substantial development and growth following the announcement of a partnership between the show’s organiser, Alchemedia, and Diversified Exhibitions Australia, a division of the company behind Palm India among other events.
Launched in 2009, Integrate has fast become a key fixture in Australia’s trade show calendar, having bolstered its position in 2010 by formalising a relationship with InfoComm International. The new agreement, described by the partners as ‘ensuring the continued growth and success’ of Integrate, will see the exhibition move in 2012 from its current venue, the Royal Hall of Industries and Hordern Pavilion in Moore Park, to the larger Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre (SCEC).
Alchemedia will also gain access to the Diversified Exhibitions Australia database, reportedly allowing it to ‘reach into complementary sectors’ while attempting to attract a more international visitor base. Other Australia-based exhibitions produced by Diversified include DesignBuild, DesignEx, Security Exhibition and Hotel Hospitality & Design.
Matthew Pearce, managing director of Diversified Communications Asia, greeted the announcement with enthusiasm. ‘Diversified Exhibitions is delighted to partner with Alchemedia,’ he declared. ‘Diversified is proud of its record - we've won the EEAA's 'Best Trade Show over 10,000 sq-m' for the last three years, won 'Best Consumer Show' for the last three years and won 'Best Australian Exhibition' two out of the last three years – we know a strong, well-organised show when we see it.
‘Regionally we run Palm India, and we can see there are opportunities for us to grow both the range of exhibitors and the level of international visitors to Integrate. With this strategic partnership I've no doubt we can drive Integrate forward to be a regional powerhouse in this sector.’
Meanwhile, Integrate event director Louise Brooks described the Alchemedia team as ‘hugely excited by this partnership. Exhibitors will reap the rewards of the move to SCEC and the extra reach of Diversified Exhibitions. Meanwhile, attendees will have a better and more compelling show as a result. Integrate 2011 is shaping up to be our best show yet and the Integrate team looks forward to working with Diversified in 2012 to continue to develop Integrate's potential.’
Ms Brooks concluded: ‘This is a great result for this region's professional sound, light and vision industry.’
Integrate 2012 will take place at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre between August 21st and 23rd. Plans for the 2011 event remain unaffected.
