Allen & Heath GLD system takes control of BJP’s headquarters

INDIA: An Allen & Heath GLD mixing system has recently been installed into the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) new headquarters, to handle audio requirements in the multiple meeting, media, and conference rooms. The system was supplied by SunInfonet.

The BJP’s new Gujarat-based HQ spans an area of more than 11,700 sp-m divided into two wings. The Western wing houses numerous office and conference rooms, whilst the other comprises a 400-capacity auditorium, 120-seat conference hall, 40-capacity meeting room, and a digital library.

'The venue’s audio specialists demoed various products with the goal of providing adequate audio reinforcement in all the meeting spaces, but were not satisfied with either the processing capability or limited I/O of consoles until they tested the GLD-80 and it’s accompanying AR84 and AR2412 remote I/O racks,' said Akshay Shah, the system integrator who provided the whole solution.

The GLD-80 takes feeds from Shure microphones located in the media room and outputs them to Quest speakers in the auditorium, conference hall and meeting rooms.

‘After a successful installation, various media conferences and member meetings were organised and all members were extremely satisfied with the solution provided,’ commented Neeraj Chandra from Sun Infonet. ‘We have now decided to specify the same set up in the party’s other offices.’
