Amate shows its Xcellence in Asia

KOREA: Amate Audio has recently conducted seminars in Korea and Vietnam in partnership with its respective regional distributors, Daelim Musical Instruments and Media Equipment Join Stock Co. Attended by approximately 60 sound engineers and rental company employees, the focus of the two sessions was on the Spanish manufacturer’s 2016 Xcellence solutions.

Supported by Amate chief technical officer Joan Amate and product application engineer Daniel Bartoloné in both Ho Chi Minh and Daejong City, the educational aspect of the seminars focused on planning events using simulation software such as Ease Focus, as well as basic theory about line arrays, time alignment of PAs, cardioid subwoofers and system setup with Amate’s DSP Studio.

‘People were particularly interested in listening to the new X14T, X15T, X18T and X21T solutions, which were very well-received,’ offered Amate area sales manager, Jordi Amate. ‘They also enjoyed a performance by a heavy metal band played through the X210A line array stacked on X218W3K subwoofers, and were keen to hear advice from our engineers about how to get the most from their systems.’

Another seminar with Daelim has already been planned in Korea for January 2017, and while it hasn't been confirmed yet, the manufacturer is also looking to organise a follow-up edition next year in Vietnam.
