Ang Lee uses Mipro at Life of Pi premiere

TAIWAN: Taiwanese film director, Ang Lee and Suraj Sharma – star of his most recent offering, Life of Pi, used Mipro microphones for the film’s recent premiere and press conference event in Taipei.
It is reported that approximately 70 per cent of the film was shot in Taiwan over a five-month period, which saw the crew film in various locations on the island, including Taipei Zoo, Baisha Bay, Kenting Banyan Park and an airport in Taichung.
A Mipro ACT-7 series wireless system was used to serve at the premiere, and was chosen due to its ‘reliable sound quality and interference-free reception’. The ACT-7 series wireless system includes ACT-717/727/747 true diversity receivers, an ACT-7H handheld transmitter and an ACT-7T bodypack transmitter.
In January 2013, Life of Pi earned 11 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Visual Effect.
