Apart Audio installed at the Indraprastha College for Women

INDIA: A newly built auditorium at the Indraprastha College for Women has been outfitted with Apart Audio Mask speakers by systems integrator Value Marketing Systems (VMS). The installed solution now provides complete coverage for the 500-person main auditorium and 100-person balcony area.

Indraprastha College for Women is the oldest women's college of the University of Delhi and was founded in 1924 as a part of the nationwide campaign for women's education and empowerment. Today the college has an enrolment of over 2,670 students and offers a wide range of courses and activities. The newly built auditorium is used for many different events from presentations to music-based performances.

As a result of the auditorium’s size and share, full range speakers were specified for deployment as a distributed system, thereby avoiding hot spots towards the front of the auditorium. Mask8F speakers are used on the sidewalls and Mask6 speakers are located under and above the balcony. Additionally, a pair of Mask8F speakers are positioned for on-stage monitoring.

‘Our requirement was to be able to cater for live performances and lectures, which the Mask8F and Mask6 speakers have addressed,’ stated a spokesperson from Value Marketing Systems. ‘VMS is happy to have collaborated with Sennheiser to help us find the right solution along with great servicing and product education.’
