APG chosen for Yale-NUS College

MALAYSIA: In an effort to add a high-quality sound system to its inventory, Yale-NUS College, a liberal arts college in Singapore, has acquired APG’s DX12 and SB115 systems. They’re to be deployed in three spaces comprising of the performance hall, the blackbox theatre and the outdoor amphitheatre.

While the DX12 offers a two-way coaxial, bass reflex system that features a 12-inch neodymium cone driver and a one-inch neodymium HF driver, the SB115 is a vented, dual interactive chamber subwoofer that boasts a 15-inch ferrite cone driver. The college is confident the systems will provide more options for its audio solutions.

‘The systems purchased by Yale-NUS can be used as FOH or a monitoring system, offering the technical team flexibility on how they want to use it in their various spaces,’ explained Imran Hahrit, sales director of APG S.E. Asia.

Md Shafei Bin Seri, technical manager at Yale-NUS, also praised the systems. ‘The APG systems are small but offer good, precise sound output. The unique, low profile of the DX12 speaker allows us to use it as a floor monitor in the performance hall, where the first row seats are less than a metre from the stage.’
