APG confirms new Chinese distribution setup

CHINA: The recent PL+S Guangzhou show served as an ideal platform for French loudspeaker manufacturer APG to officially announce a new chapter in the organisation and development of APG North East Asia. This sees the distribution responsibilities split between existing partner BVCAM and TR Audio, which has been appointed to focus on the entertainment sector.

As Grégory Dapsanse, marketing & business development director at APG explained, ‘We have created a new business model here in China which means that we are no longer working in a 100 per cent exclusive distribution setup. Rather, we have now included a new partner called TR Audio which specialises in the entertainment market but at the same time we will continue to keep our historical partner, BVCAM for all the rest of the market.’

Established in 2011, TR Audio is based in Guangzhou whilst BVCAM is situated in Beijing, hence APG also believes that the geographical location of each company works to their advantage and together they will be able to share information and prospects.

Danny Huen from BVCAM elaborated on the new setup, ‘We’ve had good cooperation with APG for a number of years. We’re confident that there will be a lot of opportunities for us in the rental and theatre markets and we’re seeing growing potential for the brand here in China.’
