ARX appoints Avix Tech for South Korea

KOREA: Melbourne-based manufacturer ARX has announced Avix Tech as its new distributor for South Korea. The deal sees the Australian manufacturer’s range of digital and analogue interfacing and signal processing products join brands including Calrec, Meyer Sound, Optocore, Crestron and Mogami cables. The appointment reportedly follows initial discussions at the recent Pro Light & Sound exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany.

Established in 1992 by Joo Hong Chang, Avix Tech is now one of South Korea’s most active distributors, working across a number of sectors including live sound, broadcast and install. The company debuted its new relationship with ARX at the 2013 Koba Show, which took place in May in Seoul.

Greeting the new relationship, ARX managing director Colin Park enthused: ‘Avix Tech is a well known and established company in the Korean professional audio industry. We're looking forward to working with director Jay Chung and the Avix Tech team. They are enthusiastic about the possibilities for the ARX product range among their extensive client base.’

Avix Tech managing director Cane Ko added: ‘Avix Tech is delighted to be working with ARX. We studied the feasibility of the brand in the Korean market and found a strong demand. We believe that this will prove to be a successful relationship for both Avix Tech and ARX.’
