Asia Pacific Zone Systems purchases 16 APT Oslo codecs

MALAYSIA: A total of 16 ATP WorldNet Oslo multi-channel audio codecs have been sold by WorldCast Systems Group to Malaysian systems integrator, Asia Pacific Zone Systems. This reportedly follows a previous order in 2013 of 23 Oslo units. All 39 units are due to be deployed in the E1 networks of a major nationwide telecoms provider who supplies services to several public and commercial broadcasters throughout the country.
‘It’s tremendous to see the Oslo retain its position as the multichannel audio codec of choice for Telco grade audio transmissions,’ remarked Kevin Cambell, APT sales director for Asia. ‘Globally the original Oslo has been adopted where service providers need rock solid reliability to protect SLAs. The next generation of Oslo products, 1RU and AOIP Card, builds on this success, offering broadcasters the most advanced IP audio coding and innovative and unique technologies such as SureStream and Scripteasy to ensure E1 like reliability.’
