INDIA: Having previously been appointed by Audio Technica SEA as its principle consultant for South Asia in 2009, S Sajeev has now established a representative office in the Indian city of Bangalore to oversee the manufacturer’s increasing business in the pro audio, broadcast and consumer sectors.
Business partners have been appointed for each of three verticals, all of which have servicing departments and provide after-sales service for customers. ‘Increasing sales justify my need to be based out in India,’ commented Mr Sajeev. The pro audio sector is being handled by Pro AV, which also distributes Link, Midas, Klark Teknik and QSC Audio. ‘We’re seeing a lot of potential in installed sound and in particular in conferencing systems,’ Mr Sajeev furthered.
Audio Technica has also made two new appointments in the Philippines. Based in Makati City, Sony distributor Solid Video Corporation now represents the manufacturer’s interests in the broadcasting sector. Meanwhile, Yamaha distributor Yupangco Electronics Corporation – also based in Makati City – now handles AT’s live and installed sound microphones and headphones.
