Audio-Technica named ‘official microphone’ of Timbre Group

SINGAPORE: Audio-Technica has been named as the official microphone for Timbre Group’s music venues. The news follows an announcement of a partnership between the two companies to support Singapore’s music scene and raise the profile of its musicians.
As the Group’s official microphone, Audio-Technica will be supplying Timbre @ The Substation, Timbre @ The Arts House and Switch by Timbre with its Artist Elite series of vocal microphones, and instrument microphones.
‘We are excited to start our partnership with Audio-Technica,’ said Danny Loong, co-founder and chief creative director of the Timbre Group. ‘It’s a wonderful alliance where their quality microphones paired with Timbre’s quality live music dining experience, ultimately benefits the music audience and fans, by providing the best live music experience possible.’
As part of this initiative, Audio-Technica will also be sponsoring Timbre’s Singapore Originals series of concerts. ‘Singapore Originals is a great platform for local music,’ said Teng Shaokai, assistant sales manager at Audio-Technica (S.E.A). ‘Most bands you hear in bars are usually cover bands that play crowd favourite songs. This is a very unique and meaningful initiative to recognise original music works by local artistes, and we hope this will help create a more vibrant music scene here.’
