INDONESIA: Audio-Technica (S.E.A.) and PT Kairos Multi Jaya have hosted an event to highlight their recent partnership and introduce the full Audio-Technica product range to key customers in the region. Taking place at the Holiday Inn in Kemayoran, Jakarta, the event featured product explanations from A-T staff, a full exhibit of the manufacturer’s product lines and a live band performance supported by A-T equipment.
For the performance by Charley and Friends, lead vocalists Max and Debby were both equipped with AEW-T5400a condenser mics from the Artist Elite wireless microphone series. The saxophonist was equipped with Pro35 condenser microphones and the guitarist had an ATM60 mounted to the cabinet. The drum kit was miked with an AE2500 dual element mic used for the kick drum, the hypercardioid Pro25ax on the toms and snare, an AE3000 condenser beneath the snare, an AE5100 large diaphragm pencil mic on the cymbals and an AT2050 condenser for the hi-hat.
Following the performance, the event continued with a light-hearted presentation given by Audio-Technica (S.E.A.) regional sales manager, Teng Shaokai, that explored the company’s history and the story behind each of its product lines.
The highlight of the evening was the introduction of the System 10 digital wireless system, which the manufacturer considers key to the Indonesian market. ‘System 10 is such a wonderful tool created by Audio-Technica to cater to different market segments,’ explained Mr Teng. ‘But what we are trying to do here is let our customers understand the wonderful technology to fulfil this wireless system at a digital and 2.4GHz transmission level.’
The event concluded with a surprise appearance and performance by Indonesian pop singer Ruth Sahanaya, who has reportedly recently converted to using Artist Elite wireless mics.
