ASIA: In an effort to educate users on the importance of choosing the right microphone for various situations, Audio-Technica SEA, in collaboration with its regional distributors, launched its debut microphone seminar in three cities across countries in south-east Asia.
Conducted by special guest speaker Alexander Lepges – product and technical support manager of Audio-Technica Europe –, the seminar’s primary focus was on the latest miking techniques to use in specific situations.
Mr Lepges, who helped oversee the wireless and wired microphone systems during the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2004 and 2008 Olympics, discussed the various miking techniques that can be used for instruments, vocals, choirs, and large-scale installations.
Overall, the single-day seminar, which was held in Manila, Jakarta and Bangkok, attracted approximately 230 guests comprised of sound technicians, audio enthusiasts and practitioners, audio engineers, dealers and resellers.
Audio-Technica believes that proper training is essential to educate its customers on the uses of its different microphones.
