Australia to host world debut of Stagetec Polaris XCMC

AUSTRALIA: Stagetec Mediagroup Australia is set to host the world debut of the touch sensitive Polaris XCMC console at Melbourne’s Integrate Expo 2012 exhibition, which is taking place in August.

The Polaris concept – which sees customisable touchscreens replace traditional console controls – first captured industry attention at this year’s Pro Light & Sound exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany. The new Polaris XCMC combines the touchscreen interface with Stagetec’s Nexus audio network and routing system, meaning all audio processing is done on an XCMC console card.

Treva Head, director of Stagetec Mediagroup Australia, was quick to explain why Integrate had been chosen as the ideal launch platform for the console: ‘Integrate Expo 2012 is our most important exhibition here in Australia,’ he commented. ‘That’s why we have chosen this event as the world premiere for our exciting and most flexible audio console.’

Other products set to appear for the first time on the manufacturer’s booth at the show will include the XDIP Nexus interface board for Dante, the Vivace acoustics system, and the Delec Oratis intercom.

Integrate Expo 2012 will take place at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre at Darling Harbour between the 21st and 23rd of August.
