Australian Standards Approval awarded to Vocia

AUSTRALIA: The Vocia critical paging and voice evacuation system from Biamp Systems has been independently verified for use in AS 60849 compliant life safety systems.
The verification – issued last month by independent consultant Michael Creydt, a member of Germany’s BDFS organisation (the Agency of Notified Experts and Professional Assessors) – guarantees that the system meets all relevant government specifications within Australia. Also awarded was EN 60849 certification, which applies to the European Union. Crucially, the verifications apply not to individual component performance but the entire system. A separate certification – EN 54-16 – was awarded for components to Vocia in June.
‘This independent verification demonstrates Biamp’s continued dedication to meeting the highest life safety standards worldwide,’ enthused Graeme Harrison, Biamp vice president of international sales.
