Auvis brings Nimibutr Stadium up to standard

THAILAND: Electro-Voice has been selected as the new system of choice at the Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok. The 5,600-seat venue, which was originally opened back in 1963, has recently undergone a renovation of its audio system to meet the newest standards defined by the international football governing body, FIFA. The stadium is regularly used for concerts, basketball, futsal and boxing matches, and has previously hosted prominent events including the Asian Games and AFC Futsal Championship. The project was undertaken by Bosch-certified partner, Auvis (Thailand) Co Ltd, which upgraded the entire existing system with products from Electro-Voice.

Auvis proposed a solution combining EVH series horn-loaded and EVF series front-loaded loudspeakers, powered by CPS4.10 and CPS4.5 amplifiers. A combination of EVH-1152D and EVF-1122S models work together to provide full-bandwidth coverage throughout the stadium, which has reportedly resulted in ‘excellent speech intelligibility for announcements along with powerful audio for the fans’.

The main EVH arrays have been flown above and around the stadium’s large four-sided central display, while the EVF boxes reside underneath to serve as fills and to address the playing field. EV’s NetMax N8000 digital matrix processors provide overall system control, running an IRIS-Net software configuration.

The stadium management is reportedly ‘impressed’ with the sound systems, as well as the service provide by Auvis.
