Avcom Staging invests in a Soundcraft Si Compact 16

AUSTRALIA: Queensland-based event staging company Avcom Staging has purchased a Soundcraft Si Compact 16, which is distributed in Australia by Jands. Avcom managing director Luke George reports he found the purchase an easy decision, describing the digital mixing console as an ‘easy to use, feature-packed, quality product.’
Describing the purchase as ‘the best choice for the business’, Mr George commented on the staging company’s relationship with local audio distributor Jands: ‘One of the factors that swayed us towards the Soundcraft Si Compact 16 was the continuous information resource we have on tap at Jands. Jands always supply us with information and new technology advancements when it happens,’ he explained.
Avcom Staging’s senior technician Ashley Moon referred to the console as ‘an incredibly powerful desk for its tiny stature.’ Clearly thrilled with the purchase, he furthered: ‘It is incredibly easy to use and the pre amps are nice and clean. It’s perfect for us as we often go from a conference to a live band without having to change anything. Not having to be stuck looking at a screen while trying to adjust something is a nice touch,’ he added.
