INDIA: Avid has announced a pair of master-classes on its Venue console that are due to take place in Mumbai and Bengaluru on April 26th and 28th respectively. Both events will feature Robert Scovill, the manufacturer’s senior market specialist for the Venue range and an award-winning live sound engineer.
Organised in conjunction with its Indian distributor Ansata, the master-classes have been designed to appeal to newcomers and experienced Venue users alike. While the first session will concentrate on the basics of mixing on Venue desks, the second will focus on helping existing users with Mr Scovill providing a ‘deep dive’ into the console’s technology while offering tips and tricks. Mr Scovill’s career spans collaborations with artists including Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Matchbox Twenty, Rush, Prince, and Def Leppard. He described himself as ‘looking forward to meeting the ever-growing user base in India’.
Nadiyam Ravisankar, audio sales manager at Avid added his own note of enthusiasm: ‘We have over 40 Venue consoles sold in India and I am pleased that we can provide our Venue community with the opportunity to attend a free master-class by a much awarded and experienced industry professional. I trust that users in India will take advantage of the sessions.’
The master-classes will take place on the 26th April in Mumbai at the Sea Princess Hotel on Juhu Tara road and on 28th April in Bengaluru at The Chancery Pavillion on Residence Road.
