Bel covers Asian Games

KOREA: The International Host Broadcaster (IHB) of the Asia Games in Incheon is deploying 60 Bel Digital Audio HD audio monitors/de-embedders to cover the event. The monitor/de-embedders were supplied via Bel Digital’s South Korean distributor Soundfox International, based in Seoul.

The latest version of Bel’s 1U 16 channel audio confidence monitors will form an integral part of the infrastructure for the IHB’s coverage. According to the manufacturer, the units were selected for the 17th edition of the Asian Games because of ‘their compact size, which is achieved without sacrificing any of the functionality thanks to its clever design’. Additionally, Bel was able to supply the units to very tight deadlines to meet the IHB’s schedules.

The Asian games will consist of 439 events in 36 sports and take place across 49 venues and 48 training facilities. Thirty-seven of the competition venues are located in and around the host city of Incheon with 10 venues created especially for the games, including the first ever purpose built cricket ground in South Korea. You can read more about some of these venues in the September-October 2014 edition of Pro Audio Asia.
