ASIA: Biamp Systems has announced the addition of two new area managers to its sales force in Asia. Tomi Kallio has been appointed to serve South East Asia, Japan and Korea, while Wayne Cheung will oversee all sales and installations in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Both area managers will be based in Hong Kong, reporting to newly promoted Asia Pacific regional director Matthew Packer.
Tomi Kallio, a 20-year A/V veteran, is described by Biamp as possessing ‘extensive experience’ of working with international sales teams throughout the Asia Pacific and beyond, most notably within the high-end videoconferencing and professional audio sectors.
Wayne Cheung’s previous positions include a consulting company and most recently a systems integrator. He is described as bringing ‘a wealth of experience with large-scale networked audio and video systems’.
‘We couldn’t be happier to have both Tomi and Wayne join our sales team,’ enthused Matthew Packer. ‘They both bring a breadth of experience to the work we do throughout this region. Both Tomi and Wayne are top-level project and account managers who will no doubt continue their excellent work and build long-lasting relationships with Biamp customers, integrators and industry colleagues.’
