Blue Microphones acquires Summit Audio

WORLD: Blue Microphones has announced the acquisition of the assets of Summit Audio Inc, stating its aim to expand the availability of Summit Audio products through improved supply and distribution efforts.
CEO of Blue Microphones, John Maier described acquiring Summit as ‘a natural next step’ for the expanding company. ‘Now, supplemented with Summit’s mic preamps and signal processors, we can bring a more complete offering to the market,’ he said.
Summit Audio's former president, Erik Papp, will manage business development for Blue Microphone’s signal processing division. Mr Papp commented: ‘With Blue‘s impressive growth and ability to extend Summit’s legacy through new product development and enhanced distribution, I can’t think of a better place for Summit Audio to be now and in the future.’
Blue Microphones stated it will continue the production of all current Summit product lines under the Summit name. Customer support, marketing, and sales will be resourced from the Blue Microphones team.
