Bob Spencer monitors Saints and Murderers with Eve

AUSTRALIA: Australian Record Industry Association Hall of Famer, Bob Spencer, is best known for his contributions as guitarist during the 70s, 80s and early 90s for rock bands The Skyhooks and The Angels. A quarter of a decade later, he set up a crowd-funding campaign to finance his inaugural solo album, to be titled Saints and Murderers. Recording the album in his home studio, the musician is using Eve Audio’s SC208 monitor.
‘The Eve SC208 active monitors are ideal for my workspace,’ Mr Spencer explained, ‘They provide me with ample, accurate lows, smear-free mids, non-fatiguing highs and are capable of delivering much more volume than I require. Which is interesting coming from a bloke who often used four quad boxes on stage!’
He went on to note that the two-way, 8-inch monitors have removed the guesswork from his mixing. ‘My mixes translate well and the mixing experience has become a much more enjoyable one,’ Mr Spencer said. ‘The only problem I've thus far encountered using the SC208 monitors is that I find my coffee often goes cold as I get so carried away with the audio clarity that I forget to drink it!’
