Bosch keeps China Mingsheng Bank secure

CHINA: Bosch Security Systems has installed an integrated security system based around its Building Integration System (BIS) at the headquarters of China Minsheng Bank in Shunyi New Town, Beijing. The system, which comprises video surveillance, intrusion detection, access control, PA and conferencing systems, created several challenges including integrating both analogue CCTV and IP based cameras into single solution.
Founded in 1996, China Minsheng Bank is the first bank in China to be owned mostly by non-government enterprises, and has recently established a new headquarters in Beijing consisting of five office buildings spread over a 200-acre campus. Each of the buildings represents a separate arm of the company, however the management required a single solution for the entire campus.
The BIS based solution designed by Bosch is used to connect more than 100 different safety and security components together. Two of the five buildings use analogue CCTV, while the others have already migrated to digital systems, managed by Bosch’s Video Management System (BVMS). Both solutions could be installed through BIS, enabling real-time monitoring of all areas from a single location.
BIS is also used to integrate the five intrusion detection systems with over 100 alarm zones. The manufacturer’s digital public address and voice evacuation system, Praesideo, was installed to distribute general and safety announcements, and finally, several meeting rooms in the headquarters were equipped with DCN conferencing systems.
With the solution in place, China Mingsheng Bank is now able to operate its networked security and communication systems in all five buildings as a single integrated system.
