Bosch secures multiple design awards

WORLD: At the German Design Awards in Frankfurt this year, Bosch Security Systems’ DCN-D conference system was awarded a ‘Special Mention’. The announcement marked a successful year for the manufacturer as just two weeks later it was honoured with three more at the International Forum (iF) design awards.

‘For over 60 years, Bosch Security Systems has been synonymous with innovative new products in the field of conference systems,’ explained Murat Keskinkilinc, product marketing manager for conference systems. ‘A case in point being the pioneering DCN Multimedia Conference System of 2013. The fact that products from Bosch were able to prevail amid such keen competition vindicates our philosophy of combining the brand values of Bosch, cutting-edge technology and outstanding design in our products.’

The jury for the iF design awards was composed of 32 experts from around the world who examined product innovations based on design quality, finish, selection of materials and functionality. The panel, which was chaired by Professor Fritz Frenkler, was also influenced by marketing criteria such as brand value and branding. The three awards secured by Bosch consisted of one for the DCN-D audio power supply, and one each for two separate components of the Plena Matrix system – the 8-channel DSP Matrix Mixer and the DSP Amplifier.

‘Bosch Security Systems has many years of experience in the field of acoustic technology too,' added Jonathan Bailey, global products manager for installed sound electronics at Bosch Security Systems. 'For its combination of advanced acoustic technology and efficient solutions, the Plena Matrix, with its flexibility and reliability, is outstanding, and the fact that the juries in each case were of the same opinion encourages us in our work and motivates us for the future.'
