CHINA: Beijing Pacific Budee Technology Development Co Ltd (Budee) recently hosted a seminar before the ProSound and Light show opened in Guangzhou. The event was held to present some of the latest developments from TC Group International, and was attended by an assembled crowd of more than 200 local systems integrators, contractors, consultants, end users and dealers.
The event was introduced by Budee’s director of marketing, Eric Boyer, with presentations from the TC Group’s VP of international sales, touring, Miguel Hadelich and VP of AET Group, Graham Hendry.
Mr Boyer gave the assembled audience an overview of the company and the brands it represents, including Tannoy, Lab.gruppen, Lake, TC Electronic, Lectrosonics, Avid, Blue Microphones, Electro-Voice, Sennheiser, Martin Audio, Summit Audio and Presonus. He also underlined Budee’s emphasis on technical knowledge and dedicated after sales support, mentioning its core values of respect, professionalism and perseverance.
Mr Hadelich then presented an in-depth look at the Lake LM 26 digital loudspeaker processor before moving onto the Lab.gruppen PLM20000Q powered loudspeaker management system. Following this, Mr Hendry took to the stage to present new features of Tannoy’s Q Flex range and beam steering technology.
‘We host several seminars of this kind every year, and in 2013 we will have a total of 15 throughout China,’ said Mr Boyer. ‘Although this is not the first time we’ve had to bring in extra chairs, this particular event actually broke an attendance record with a total of 243 confirmed attendees. We could not be happier with the turnout and I believe it speaks volumes about the interest in high-quality professional audio equipment in southern China. Guangzhou in particular is a very strong market for us, and it is events such as these that really allow us to highlight the capabilities of our team as well as the scope and scale of our substantial customer base. We try to keep it fun while maintaining a very high level of technical sophistication – we want our valued clients to be entertained, but we also want them to learn something.’
Aside from the Beijing head office, Budee also has branches in Ji’Nan, Nanjing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and Chengdu, as well as three regional service centres and warehouses strategically located throughout the region.
