Budee off to a strong start as API’s Chinese distributor

CHINA: Having been appointed in late 2016 to represent Automated Processes Inc’s (API) complete product line in China, Beijing Pacific Budee Technology Development Co Ltd – or Budee for short – is forging ahead with prolific sales. Budee is a well-known distributor in the territory thanks to its fast growth in the market and support of brands such as Nugen Audio, DK-Technologies, Martin Audio, Tannoy, Avid, Electro-Voice, Lectrosonics, Wheatstone and Sennheiser. Established in 2002, the company has grown to encompass more than 100 employees at two branch offices and five provincial sites across Mainland China.
‘Budee always focuses on solution needs and providing the best possible service to its customers in the Greater China marketplace,’ stated Budee’s director of strategic alliance, Mills Xu. ‘API is legendary and simply the best in class for analogue and fits perfectly with Budee's service oriented approach to bringing the very best imported brands to China. We’re working closely with API in order to host technical workshops and seminars that will further establish the brand identity in China.’
Mills Xu was greeted on the API Audio booth at the recent NAMM show by sales director Dan Zimbleman. ‘Since we began discussing the notion of working together, I’ve been overwhelmed by Budee’s professionalism and commitment in promoting API’s products,’ admitted Mr Zimbleman. ‘There’s more to this relationship than simply shipping 1608s to China – there’s great momentum building. Once again it would appear that the reported demise of analogue recording has been well and truly exaggerated!’
