Bunditpatanasilpa Institute opts for Harman

THAILAND: Bangkok’s Bunditpatanasilpa Institute has equipped its main auditorium with a new audio system from the Harman stable of brands. The solution was designed and installed by the manufacturer’s local representative Mahajak Professional, which also provided consultancy services.

The Institute itself is a college of the dramatic arts operating under the Ministry of Culture which aims to produce traditional Thai performance artists of a professional standard. Its main auditorium is a multi-purpose space which is used for meetings, exhibitions as well as conventional stage dramas. As such the venue has a busy schedule, making reliability and aftersales service key factors when selecting the new sound system.

The auditorium has been fitted out with JBL AC28/95 compact two-way speakers for its main system. Added to this is a surround system consisting of the brand’s 8340A cinema speakers distributed around the hall. Processing comes from a BSS Soundweb London Blu-100 while the control room has been equipped with a 40-chanel Soundcraft GB-4 mixer to complete the installation.

‘The reason for the purchase was our reputation for support and the excellence of the products from the Harman stable,’ concluded Mahajak’s Alan Archer.
