BXB public address system aids Kowloon school

CHINA: Founded in 1953, the Concordia Lutheran School in Kowloon recently renovated some of its school buildings. Hong Kong-based Sunrise Trading Company won an open tender to supply and install a public address system during the first phase of re-construction in conjunction with PCCW.

A BXB system consisting of a WMP-2100 main controller loaded with WSC-2100 software supplying 64 WMP-60D decoders was required. Sunrise Trading sales representative Jeff Li explained why the simplicity of installing the system benefitted the client: ‘The school didn’t need to wait until the entire building renovation had been completed before installing the equipment, as is the norm during most contracts. By working in one completed area, the entire PA system could be installed just by adding the 64 loudspeakers and decoders in addition to some cable extensions to the new classrooms, which integrated them into the existing system. This saved a lot of time and labour, which kept the overall costs down.’

In addition, two customised decoders were installed on campus. Featuring priority broadcast, school staff can now play background music or split announcements into two separate zones via the WMP-2100 controller.
