C-Mark conference system used for 17th SAARC summit

ASIA: A C-Mark DMS digital conferencing system was recently used for the 17th South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) summit, which took place at Addu City in the Maldives between November 6th and 11th.

SAARC is a regional organisation intended to aid cooperation and build stronger ties between its member states of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The 17th summit adopted the theme of Building Bridges - both in terms of physical connectivity and figurative political dialogue, and was opened by Bhutanese Prime Minister Jigme Y Thinley. Presidents and prime ministers from the eight member nations were also in attendance.

Included within the C-Mark digital conferencing system was the DMS6039 main controller, which can support up to 70 delegate and chairman units, plus DMS609A voting chairman units and DMS609B delegate units.
