Café Mambo returns to DAS Audio for latest audio overhaul

INDIA: Having already relied upon DAS Audio sound systems for the past nine years, the owners of Goa’s Café Mambo have stuck to their plan of religiously updating the venue’s sound system with new DAS products every three years. This time around, Audio Kris fitted the club with Aero Series 2, Avant Series, and Artec Series equipment.
Located just off Calangute beach in the bustling Tito’s Lane, the venue has made a name for itself by hosting theme nights – from Hip Hop and House to Techno and Retro – every night of the week, with support from national and international DJs. The club is one of number owned by brothers David and Ricardo De Sousa, who are no strangers to superb sound.
The very first DAS Audio installation of Café Mambo consisted of Rf-15.85 cabinets paired with Rf-218 subwoofers. Pleased with the performance of the system, the owners chose to augment it three years later with additional Rf-15.85 and Rf-218 enclosures for the main dance floor while reusing the older cabinets outside.
For the latest audio overhaul, local professional sound and light provider, Audio Kris, decided to install systems from the manufacturer’s Aero Series 2, Avant Series and Artec series. The technicians installed eight Aero 12A compact line array systems on the main dance floor, matched with four LX-218 subwoofers and DAS D-100 amps. The indoor system was rounded out with two Avant 15A powered, full-range tops and two Avant 118A powered subwoofers systems for the DJ monitors.
The club features an open-air lounge that surrounds the dancefloor and is designed for patrons to sit back and relax. To boost the outdoor sound, the team from Audio Kris decided to install four Artec 526A amps feeding two LX-215R long-excursion loudspeakers.
