Canford appoints Leif Friestad as new CEO

WORLD: Following the recent retirement of Charles Kennedy, Canford Group has announced the appointment of Leif Friestad as its new CEO. Previously holding senior management roles at United Technologies Corporation, Johnson Controls and Lapp Group, Mr Friestad will work with Canford in an effort to substantially expand the company.
Canford reports that Mr Friestad, a multi-linguist originating from the south of Norway, has gained significant experience in business integration and operational productivity from working with the brands Chubb, Sikorsky, Otis and Pratt and Whitney.
Canford chairman Hugh Morgan Williams, welcomed the appointment: ‘Mr Friestad brings great expertise from a cross-section of electronic industries and a wealth of international experience at a time when the company is focused on developing its brands and growing in both domestic and international export markets. His track record should enable us to meet our ambitious growth targets in the next three years.’
Mr Friestad said ‘I can already see exciting growth opportunities in both existing and associated markets for the business and the brands. I look forward to joining my new colleagues and creating with them an exciting future for this dynamic company.’
