Carl Jacobson moves to PreSonus

WORLD: Carl Jacobson has joined PreSonus in the newly created role of director of business development and strategic marketing. The appointment will see Mr Jacobson assume responsibility for forging strategic business relationships and driving co-marketing initiatives with various music and technology providers.
Prior to joining PreSonus, Mr Jacobson was vice president of marketing for Nimbit and, and later held the same title for music software and hardware provider, Cakewalk. In the 1990s, Mr Jacobson worked for A&M and New World Records, and later launched an online radio broadcasting network named Soundsbig.com. Past co-marketing campaigns of note include working with Intel, Microsoft, H-P and Dell.
Mr Jacobson is also a regular public speaker on music technology and music business, and has written or contributed to articles for ASCAP's Playback, Billboard, Hypebot, and Electronic Musician, among others.
