CDA Pro Audio to represent Fairlight and Gotham Cables

ASIA: With offices in Sydney, Perth Auckland, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Shanghai and Shenzhen, and showrooms in Sydney, Singapore, Bangkok and Shenzhen, CDA Pro Audio is well positioned to cover the Asia Pacific region. The company used the recent Broadcast Asia exhibition to announce the envelopment of two major brands to its portfolio.
Singapore sales manager Joel Chia explained: ‘We had a couple of gaps in our portfolio that we have now successfully plugged.’ CDA Pro Audio promotes and vends analogue processing and mastering equipment, converters, microphones, loudspeakers, audio restoration technology, transformers and recording/editing solutions for brands such as Cedar Audio, Prism Sound, Lundahl transformers and MicW.’
Fairlight’s live products are now represented in all ASEAN countries by CDA Pro Audio, and with the exception of Singapore, the post-production product lines as well. ‘We’ve known one another for years, but we finally got around to having a serious discussion on the subject earlier this year,’ confirmed Fairlight sales engineer Joe Hammer. ‘We speak the same language and are in the same country, so it makes life very easy.’
CDA Pro Audio managing director Rick Dowel replied: ‘Their technologies are a perfect synergy for our Prism and Cedar products. Fairlight are one of those few manufacturers that can cater for all surround sound formats such as Auro, DTS, 22.2 and Imax. We’re particularly looking forward to demonstrating the many benefits that are integrated into the EVO platform as it is a dual-purpose console that operates as a live and postproduction desk.’
Celebrating 58 years in business, Swiss manufacturer Gotham Cables has also confirmed its ties with the multi-national supplier. ‘We’ve never enjoyed exclusive representation in South East Asia before now,’ confirmed Gotham Cables president Franz Ammann. ‘The staff here are knowledgeable, specialising in high-end audio. As such, they pay attention to the small guys which is important.’
Renowned for its Reussen shielding technology, which offers more protection than traditional braiding, Joel Chia returned the compliment: ‘Gotham are a renowned brand and their catalogue has a great synergy with all our other product lines. They focus on quality and at the end of the day are real people – those are the hallmarks we seek when representing a brand.’
