Cedar Audio to launch DNS 8 Live in China at Prolight+Sound Shanghai

CHINA: Cedar Audio will use Prolight+Sound Shanghai as a platform to launch its DNS 8 Live multi-channel dialogue noise suppressor in China. The new product will appear on the CDA Pro Audio China booth together with the brand’s Cedar Cambridge V8 system, the DNS1500 and DNS3000 dialogue noise suppressors and the Cedar Studio suite of plugins.

‘Having worked with Cedar for more than a decade in other countries, we are now delighted to be representing them in China,’ said Rick Dowel, managing director of CDA Pro Audio.

‘The broadcast and film industries here are huge and there is great interest in the country's cultural heritage,’ he continued. ‘Cedar can be of help in all of these areas, from cleaning up modern material and live-to-air audio, to restoring vintage recordings reaching back to the birth of recording in China. Since our appointment earlier this year, we have already supplied one of Cedar's flagship Cedar Cambridge systems into an archive in Beijing, and we have high hopes for introducing industry standards such as the DNS series in post and broadcast.’

With offices and dedicated staff in Hong Kong, Shenzen and Shanghai, CDA Pro
Audio China is a sister company to Control Devices – a chief supplier of aerospace, defence and industrial electronics across South East Asia.
