CheongSong Arts Centre equipped with RCF

SOUTH KOREA: Seoul AV recently installed a multi purpose RCF sound reinforcement system into the 470-seat CheongSong Arts Centre in Cheongsong, Kyungsangbook-Do, South Korea.

Providing coverage throughout the space are RCF’s TTL 33-As, TT 25-As, TTS 18-A subs and TT 25-SMA monitors. An XTA DP-448 provides DSP, whilst an Avid SC 48 console was also installed. A number of Shure wireless SLX series systems were also selected by the centre, as was a Denon DN-D4500 CD player.

‘The RCF system is suitable for this venue, firstly because of the cost,’ said Lars Yoshiyama, sales manager at RCF, ‘and secondly, Seoul AV is already familiar with the quality of the TTL 33-A sound. The Arts Centre has balcony and the depth of the floor was around 20m, so it was hard to set the height and angles of TTL 33-As. We used the shape designer,’ he explained. ‘The shape designer shows all of the information on the systems, and the 15 degrees of vertical angle was very helpful because it gave us the choice with regards to the dispersion of the arrays.’

Mr Yoshiyama stated that the venue can now boast ‘nice coverage, small boxes with strong power – and all for a low budget.’
