Chiayo updates auditorium at Chiayi Christian Hospital

TAIWAN: Chiayo has supplied a new wireless radio mic system to the auditorium at the Chiayi Christian Hospital, located near to the manufacturer’s premises. With a capacity of 500, this is the city’s largest auditorium and hosts a variety of concerts, conferences and medical seminars. The manufacturer has enjoyed an ongoing relationship with the venue, and was called in to install a new SDR-6200 IrDA UHF two-way system in response to issues arising from the introduction of 4G in Taiwan. As a result of this implementation, wireless systems have had to be upgraded to deal with the changes of frequency.

The multipurpose hall was built in memory of Marcy Leroy Ditmanson, the son of American missionaries who grew up in China and devoted his life to health care in the region. He first established a clinic in the southern city of Chiayi in 1958 and went on to open the Chiayi Christian Hospital four years later.

‘Chiayo's wireless systems have proved to be very reliable and dependable over the years since we started to use them in various locations in our hospital,’ said Cheng Hong, chief sound engineer for the institute.

‘We enjoy a good relationship with the hospital as we are conveniently located to offer them the best service and after-sales care,’ said Alwin Chin, executive VP for Chiayo. ‘They have been a customer of ours for more than 10 years and they like the reliability our solutions provide.’

In addition, Chiayo provided the hospital with an MMA-3000 amplifier for its multimedia presentations. The company has also supplied it with portable PA systems for events it puts on outside the premises, such as concerts at orphanages and schools for less privileged children, and continues to sponsor special events the hospital stages by loaning any additional PA equipment needed.
