SINGAPORE: A broad range of Christie projectors have been installed at the Seletar Mall Cineplex in Singapore. All of the auditoriums are now equipped with solutions from the manufacturer including room control via its ACT Digital Cinema Theatre Control.
Known as Shaw Theatres Seletar, the cineplex consists of eight auditoriums with over 700 seats in total and is housed within the The Seletar Mall shopping complex. It also features the chain’s first ever boothless projection room.
‘We have installed an extensive range of Christie digital cinema solutions, including the high performance Solaria One+ projectors in our latest cineplex at Seletar Mall,’ said Mark Shaw, executive vice president of operations, Shaw Theatres. ‘Christie’s visual solutions are well known for their quality and reliability. We are confident that the cinema solutions fitted here will offer quality visual and cinematic experience for all movie patrons.’
Leading the installation is the manufacturer’s flagship Solaria One+ projectors. The units provide the cinema with built-in screen management software and are capable of outputting 8,000 lumens brightness in the DCI colour space. Control over auditorium functions including masking motors, audio levels, lighting dimmers or even the projector and server is possible from any web-enabled device via Christie’s ACT Digital Cinema Theatre Control program.
‘Christie is honoured to work with Shaw Theatres to have a range of our advanced digital cinema solutions installed in all eight auditoriums of its newest cinema located in one of the fastest growing residential estates in Singapore,’ commented Lin Yu, VP of Christie Asia Pacific. ‘The audience can look forward to enjoying our brilliant projections that offer truly exciting visuals and memorable experiences.’
