Clear-Com Global Rental Group launches

WORLD: Clear-Com has announced the launch of the Clear-Com Global Rental Group (CGRG), which is intending to become a single-source communications rental solution for ‘productions of any size’. The new group – comprised of ‘a hand-selected team of trained and experienced rental businesses worldwide’ – is to be led by Larry Estrin as its director.
According to Clear-Com, the CGRG has been assembled to offer greater flexibility and options for addressing communication requirements amongst the manufacturer’s customers. In practice that means the network of member rental houses will offer customers local access to more choice from the Clear-Com catalogue, allowing them to better cater for a broad field of vertical markets including broadcast, live events and theatre, regardless of the specific project’s size. Technical support will also be offered.
Mr Estrin, meanwhile, brings heavyweight experience to the new group, having made his name in the industry with a string of international events including Olympic opening ceremonies and both Grammy Award and Academy Award nights. Alongside leading the group and providing a single point of contact for customers, Mr Estrin will assist CGRG partner companies with larger scale productions whilst conducting interactive training on spectrum planning and frequency coordination. He is also expected to recruit additional rental businesses into the group.
