Community names Timothy Dorwart CEO

WORLD: Community Professional has appointed Timothy Dorwart as its new CEO, tasking the former Gibson Pro Audio general manager with ‘leading Community into a new era of exceptional growth’. Mr Dowart boasts more than 30 years of sales, manufacturing and management experience in the pro audio and music industries.
Though his most recent role was with Gibson, Mr Dorwart has also held director and VP positions with Bose Corporation and DMX Music. He is perhaps best known within the industry for his service as CEO of Stanton Group and his later work to integrate that company’s assets into the newly created Gibson Pro Audio division.
Speaking of his new position, he describes himself as ‘delighted to join Community at a pivotal time in its history. The company is poised for considerable expansion and I look forward to leading the company into the future.’
