dampb and Neumann demystify products in interactive workshops

CHINA: d&b audiotechnik (China) Ltd and Sound Works & Supplies Ltd recently hosted seminars in Hong Kong and Beijing named ‘d&b Demystifying Audio Workshop & Neumann Digital Microphone Technique.’ The two manufacturing companies and their regional distributors collaborated to inform participants on the uses of their respective products.
d&b project management and education manager, Stefan Goertz was the guest speaker for the d&b-specific workshop, which aimed to discuss the uses and features of the manufacturer’s R10 and ArrayCalc software and sound system optimisation software. Mr Goertz also discussed d&b’s xS-Series and xA-Series.
Meanwhile, guest speaker Chen Ziqian, product manager for Sennheiser Electronic (Beijing) Co. Ltd., discussed the capabilities of Neumann’s Solution-D digital microphone and KH 120 Studio Monitor.
A live instrumental and vocal performance demonstrated the way the d&b loudspeakers and Neumann microphones reproduce sound, giving audiences the chance to compare audio between the original source and the loudspeakers.
The seminar was deemed ‘a great success’, with the guest speakers reporting that they were satisfied that participants gained a deeper understanding of products within the professional audio industry.
The seminars were held at Hong Kong’s Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre and Beijing’s National Theatre of China.
