CHINA: In collaboration with its exclusive distributor Acton International Corp Ltd, DAS Audio recently held a two-day product demonstration and workshop at the Tom Lee Academy Hall at Kowloon Bay for its local customers, system integrators, installers and consultants.
Products displayed included 12 Aero 12As, six LX-218CAs, a DSP-4080, 12 Aero 8As, four LX-215As, two Road 12As and two 15As, as well as a range of models from the manufacturer’s Action, Rf and D-Series.
Led by Eric Tam, Acton International organised a technical workshop on the Aero 12A and LX-218CA subs for local rental company Matrix AV Production. Here, Ron Koh, DAS Audio systems engineer, discussed time alignment, rigging procedures, system configurations, cardioid subs and stage monitoring.
Day two was tailored towards the systems integrators, installers and consultants in attendance, who were given a demo of the Aero 8A (coupled with LX-215A subwoofers), Road Series stage monitors, in addition to demos of the Action, Rf and D-Series. ‘A detailed explanation in regards to the captive rigging system splay angles helped the attendees to understand the wide range of column curvatures this system offers for a full line array performance,’ said DAS Audio.
Following this, a demonstration was given on the LX subwoofer’s cardioid preset switch, and then attendees were led to a stage area to witness the Road 12A and Road 15A in action.
