DAS deployed for Yinji ‘O’ Show

CHINA: The Yinji ‘O’ Show complex, located in the new district of Kaifeng in China’s Henan province, has recently been fitted out with professional sound systems from DAS Audio. Local company Beijing Jiaruifeng System Project Technology LTD was contracted to handle the Yinji ‘O’ Show sound installation, and called in DAS distributor, Acton Audio&Musical Instruments to collaborate on the design and supervision.
Boasting live concerts, lighting and laser shows, projections on water screens, fountain shows and fireworks, the venue has been designed with a variety of possibilities in mind.
Measuring 46m high and 36m wide, the Yinji ‘O’ Show’s large central ring is reported to be the largest of its kind in the world. The 22m-wide covered area can hold up to 11,000 spectators, which was the case for the Yinji ‘O’ Show’s opening night last October during the Kaifeng Chrysanthemum Festival, headlined by South Korean star, PSY.
The team installed eight weather-resistant DAS WR-6415DX systems to serve as stage monitors, with six DSP-2060A digital processors for correct system time alignment.
Venue owner, the Yinji Development Company, was pleased with the result: ‘We’re pleasantly surprised by the solution proposed by Beijing Jiaruifeng and Acton with the DAS Aero Series 2 systems. They managed to cover the technical specifications with less units than originally planned and those proposed by other brands,' it said in a statement.
‘The massive power and response of the Aero 12As combined with the efficiency and professionalism of the technical team allowed us to get the system up and running in the shortest time possible,’ continued the statement. ‘Both our director and our audiovisual consultant have commented on the power and quality of the Aero 12As. We are very pleased with DAS Audio’s choice and are convinced that the systems will help make our ‘O’ Show the leading show in the region.’
