David Prince joins Community as director of development engineering

WORLD: Community Professional has announced the appointment of David Prince as director of development engineering. He joins the US-based speaker manufacturer from Knowles Electronics with over two decades of experience designing, modelling, measuring and developing pro audio speakers.
‘As Community positions itself for continued growth, David Prince is a strong addition to our engineering team,’ commented CEO Steve Johnson. ‘His academic background and years of experience as an engineer, audio consultant and technical leader will serve him well in this exciting new role.’

Prior to his appointment with Knowles Electronics, Mr Prince was director of advanced development at Tympany. Before that, he was a senior research engineer for International Jensen and also spent seven years as an acoustic consultant for Talaske. He is also a past chair of the AES Standards Committee on Loudspeaker Modelling and Measurement, serves on technical committees of the Acoustical Society of America and is a board of directors Emeritus member for the loudspeaker industry association, ALMA.
