Delta Sound visits The Parisian Macao Hotel

MACAU: The Parisian Macao Hotel recently opened its doors with a grand opening event staged by the Hong Kong division of Uniplan. The production company then engaged with Delta Sound to provide the communications and audio playback equipment for the event.
The communications system comprised a Clear-Com Eclipse matrix frame and a pair of HelixNet base stations as well as a FreeSpeakII base station. Devices were connected via IP over the Parisian-themed hotel and casino’s internal network and VLAN panels.
Optocore X6R-FX intercom units served as the main trunks, distributing signals to nodes around the facility. This included the carrying of four wire feeds and Ethernet lines and timecode distribution. Audio and timecode were delivered by way of the Optocore setup to the fifth floor of the Eiffel Tower replica that stands above the hotel’s entrance.
Luis Miranda was onsite at the event on behalf of Delta Sound, which also deployed two Merging Technologies Horus networked audio interfaces. These were utilised in conjunction with a PC operating Merging’s MassCore software on which Mr Miranda used the Pyramix and Ovation audio software packages to control the editing and content during the opening ceremony.
