INDIA: Diversified Communications India has joined with Elcoma's Light India to launch Palm Expo Delhi 2014, to be held on September 18th-21st at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, where the two exhibitions will run simultaneously.
Palm Expo on stage sound & light, music production, DJ gear and install A/V systems integration will hold its first New Delhi Expo in halls 12 and 12A, co-located with Elcoma’s Light India in halls 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.
‘Palm is privileged to be part of Light India and we are committed to Elcoma’s vision in providing the best the industry has to offer in lighting solutions for the entertainment industry at Pragati Maidan in 2014,’ said Anil Chopra, managing director, Diversified Communications India, convenor of the Palm Expo.
‘We are very pleased to provide an opportunity for the pro sound industry and talent in the north and east, and this is a convention they will aspire to be a part of. The Palm Expo will finally arrive in the capital city in its 14th successive year.’
‘Light India is delighted to colocate with Palm Expo Delhi and hopes to provide leading consultants and lighting specialists attending the show with a comprehensive range of technology, covering stage and entertainment lighting technology,’ added Hari Mamak, president of ISLE.
‘With the advent of LED lighting, the application in lighting has widened and new ideas have emerged,’ offered Shyam Sujan, secretary general, Elcoma. ‘The professional stage and special lighting industries are looking at new applications which are not only modern, but require more energy efficient lighting solutions. With this background, Light India and the Palm Expo Delhi will provide holistic ideas and solutions that are not only modern, but practical for India and the developing countries.’
The International Professional Lighting Designs Association (PLDA) and IIID, the Indian counterpart, will have separate conferences on new technology and applications in specific segments.
The agreement was made in order to fulfil ‘a dynamic and surging market in the NCR and northern and eastern India’. According to event organisers, ‘the need for stage sound and light technology, the robust music production scene, and the exploding audio video integration installations for entertainment purposes across the country made it imperative to host the Palm in Delhi in 2014. It is in response to the needs of dealers, integrators and users.’
