DMT competes 51 studio for Chinese coastal city

CHINA: A new 5.1 recording studio based in the Suzhou headquarters of Taicang Television has recently been completed by the Beijing office of integration company Digital Media Technology Co Ltd (DMT). The studio is intended to work across a broad spectrum of the broadcaster’s programming output.
At the core of the new studio is a 24-fader Avid D-Command ES console coupled to a Pro Tools HD system, whilst 5.1 monitoring is delivered via Genelec enclosures including 1032A and 8030A reference monitors with a 7060B subwoofer. Also supplied were microphones including Brauner’s large diaphragm Phantom-V plus models from the DPA Microphones catalogue including a 3506 stereo kit and a selection of 4090 omni-directional models.
Other brands incorporated within the design for outboard include Focusrite, TC Electronic, Lexicon and Avalon, while Fostex and Denon have been included for sources.
