Donation to Children's Cancer Charity marks Salzbrenner 50th anniversary

WORLD: The 50th anniversary of Salzbrenner, the company that laid the foundation for the global Salzbrenner StageTec Mediagroup, is being celebrated with a sizeable donation to charity.
Company founder Friedrich Salzbrenner, who turned 80 in December 2012, will mark the occasion on Thursday September 26th by handing over a cheque for €10,000 to Hans-Peter Krämer, chairman of the German Cancer Aid, for the benefit of the Children's Cancer Charity. Mr Salzbrenner has reportedly decided to make the donation instead of hosting festivities in the company’s hometown of Buttenheim, Germany.
The donation caps a year of anniversaries for the Mediagroup. Alongside Salzbrenner hitting half a century, Delec turned 25 this year while StageTec turned 20. The group of companies – now comprising 15 branches worldwide plus 20 distributors – originally grew out of a small workshop run by Mr Salzbrenner offering sound system maintenance and repair.
A celebration for the 20th anniversary of StageTec was held earlier this year in Berlin. A report on the event and the company’s history will appear in the next issue of Pro Audio Asia.
