Dragon Studio installs TiMax into China’s Hyper Club

CHINA: Guangzhou’s Hyper Club launched in the summer of 2013, pitching itself as China’s most high-end consumer entertainment venue, with the perfect blend of traditional values and modern culture, anchored in stunning interior design. For the club’s opening, a d&b audiotechnik loudspeaker system with a TiMax2 SoundHub was installed for live shows and DJs. The system was supplied by SWS Hong Kong, TiMax’s distributor for the region, and was installed by system integrator Dragon Studio.
‘Hyper Club wanted to set itself apart on every level and the sound system with d&b speakers and TiMax SoundHub spatialisation is very sophisticated and spectacular for a club in China,’ said Freddie To on behalf of TiMax.
Hyper, originally a Western style house, is designed as a European Baroque palace and occupies around 3,500 sq-m over four floors. The main club area is situated on the ground floor and moving up, the second houses the VIP bar, the third the Lounge Bar, and at the top the Outdoor bar.
A single d&b Ci7-Top and d&b Ci7-SUB, with a further d&b Ci-SUB form the main club loudspeakers installed at the venue, with 16 d&b MAX, d&b MAX 12 and d&b E8 each distributed around the main club floor. The VIP area fields a further 16 d&b MAX 12 and upstairs in the Lounge the audio flows through 14 d&b E8 and 14 E15X-SUBs.
