Dynacord selected for Setia City Convention Centre

MALAYSIA: Soundline AudioVisual Distribution Sdn Bhd and systems integrator, Vibran Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd recently provided a Dynacord and Electro-Voice sound reinforcement solution for the Setia City Convention Centre (SCCC), situated in Shah Alam, Malaysia.
The two-storey building has a total floor area measuring approximately 33,000sq-m, and houses a grand ballroom on the ground floor that can accommodate 2,000 seated guests or 120 exhibition booths, and eight function rooms on the mezzanine floor. The grand ballroom can be divided into three smaller ballrooms, so the sound system needed to be flexible enough to be used in different configurations. Management also required a system that would work well as a standalone system in an individual hall, or collectively when all three halls are combined.
Soundline AudioVisual and Vibran Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd proposed a solution that included Dynacord CMS mixers, DSA 8212 power amplifiers and a Dynacord P64 digital audio matrix for the control room, providing system operators with a user-friendly GUI.
Meanwhile, a number of Dynacord FX12 speakers, CXM 15 stage monitors and Sub 2.18 dual 18-inch subwoofers were installed into the grand ballroom/convention hall. Various Bosch LC2-PC30G6-4 ceiling speakers and Bosch PLE-1P240-EU power amplifiers serve the pre-function area.
Electro-Voice’s ZXA1-90B compact power loudspeakers and Dynacord CMS mixers reside in the function rooms, and Electro-Voice RE2 wireless microphone systems, PL Series mics and Polar Choice installation mics are used throughout the venue.
‘The end-to-end solution enabled SCCC to reduce cost and installation time,’ commented a spokesperson from Bosch Security.
